FAQs

Here are 10 FAQs for Soft-on:

Bedsheets

Q1. What type of cotton is used in Soft-on bedsheets? Our bedsheets are made from 100% long-staple cotton, known for its exceptional softness, durability, and breathability. Long-staple fibres produce a smoother, stronger yarn that gets softer with every wash.

Q2. What thread counts are available? We offer bedsheets ranging from 200 TC to 600 TC. 200–400 TC gives a crisp, cool percale feel, while 500–600 TC offers a denser, silkier sateen finish — both ideal for a luxurious night's sleep.

Q3. Are your bedsheets pre-shrunk? Our sheets undergo a pre-washing process to minimise shrinkage. A minor 2–3% shrink may occur after the first home wash, which is accounted for in our sizing. Always wash in cold or warm water to maintain fit.

Q4. Do your bedsheets use harmful dyes? No. We use only Azo-free reactive dyes that are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — safe for all skin types including sensitive and baby skin. Colours remain vibrant even after repeated washes.

Q5. How should I wash my Soft-on bedsheets? Machine wash at 30–40°C on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry in shade. Iron on medium heat if needed.

Quilts

Q6. What filling is used in Soft-on quilts? Our quilts are filled with OEKO-TEX certified hypoallergenic hollow-fibre fill, enclosed in a breathable cotton outer shell. They provide warmth without weight and are suitable for allergy-prone sleepers.

Q7. How do I wash and store my quilt? Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 40°C. Tumble dry on low with a couple of tennis balls to restore loft. Store in a breathable cotton bag in a cool, dry place — avoid plastic packaging for long-term storage.

Pillow Protectors

Q8. What are your pillow protectors made of? Our pillow protectors feature a tightly woven cotton-polyester outer layer with a soft waterproof membrane backing. They guard against dust mites, allergens, and liquid spills without affecting pillow comfort.

Q9. How often should I wash my protectors? Wash every 4–6 weeks, or more frequently if you have allergies. Machine wash at 60°C to eliminate dust mites effectively. Ensure they are completely dry before refitting to prevent moisture build-up.

Sizing

Q10. What bed sizes do Soft-on products come in? All our bedsheets, quilts, and protectors are available in Single, Double, Queen, and King sizes. Fitted sheets feature deep 30 cm pockets to fit thick mattresses and toppers. Exact dimensions are listed on each product page.
